Hi! We’re the Stiers. We’re your typical young midwestern couple, with a twist:
We’re crazy!
At least, crazy enough to take on renovating an entire hotel. It all began as a wild, far-fetched dream, and yet here we are, living it. It still sounds so wild to say: we bought a hotel!
The Knox Hotel is an amazing piece of local history in our town of Princeton, Illinois. It was originally constructed to serve guests of the train depot, and eventually closed in the 1970s. For the past five decades, the Knox has sat at the start of Princeton’s historic Main Street, waiting patiently to be brought back to life.
We are so excited to be on this impossible renovation adventure together! Our story just goes to show how far you can go with a big dream and the right amount of determination.
