Life as a Stier is never easy or simple. Of course, our second baby, after several complications, decided to wait until the date of our first hotel guests. Here is the crazy story of how Dane finished up the first hotel room while Kelsey successfully spun a breach baby…. twice.
Last week, we turned on the furnaces in the Knox Hotel for the first time in 50 years! Hallelujah! We have never installed a new furnace system before, especially in a historic building. We learned a lot along the way, and wanted to take some time to share the experience with our followers.
While our timeline has not gone according to all of our plans, we are trusting in the Lord’s timeline! So, cheers to the New Year, the new timeline, and the new Knox that WILL be open for the first time in almost 50 years.
Our Phase 1 renovations are moving quickly! The rooms are coming together. For the first time, the Knox Hotel is getting layered in drywall, and the plaster walls are getting refreshed. More importantly, the furnaces are getting installed this week, so we won’t have to work in the cold anymore!
It’s safe to say that things are really starting to come along, and our to-do list doesn’t feel never-ending anymore, finally! Most importantly, the plumber started drilling holes and installing piping last Friday and continues to forge ahead!
